About

Welcome to Owl and Orange!

Hi, I'm Diana, and I'm happy to see all of you here!

Currently calling the Netherlands home, I hold a degree in graphic design. But some years back, during my time at university, I stumbled upon the enchanting realm of linocut printmaking. From the moment I tried it, I knew it was something extraordinary, and my passion for this art form has only continued to blossom!

So, what's the story behind "Owl and Orange"? Well, naming things isn't exactly my strong suit, I'll admit. But inspiration struck when I thought about my husband and me. My husband looks like an owl, and he often calls me a little orange (because of my red hair). So, it just felt right to combine these fun and personal elements, resulting in the name "Owl and Orange"!

Explore Our Linocut Workshops

In addition to sharing my passion for linocut art through prints, I'm thrilled to offer immersive linocut workshops at Owl and Orange. These workshops are designed to be inclusive, catering to both beginners and experienced artists alike. We begin by delving into the rich history of linocut printing, showcasing inspiring examples, and explaining the entire creative process while enjoying some refreshments. From sketching and design transfer to carving, painting, and printing, I'll guide you through each step. These workshops typically last about four hours, allowing you to create your own prints in a supportive and welcoming environment.
